rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
I have an rx2660 with OpenVMS, and the internal core 8 port Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) host bus adapter. This controller supports up to two internal RAID 1 volumes (2├Ч2 HDDs). What utility do I use to configure this controller?
Thanks
Andrew

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
$ RUN SYS$SYSTEM:SAS$UTIL
Take a look at the "HP OpenVMS System Management Utilities Reference Manual" for "SAS Utility" for detailed information on it's usage. Usage seems to be the same or similar to the MSA$UTIL.

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
Apologies on the following HP URL:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?contentType=SupportManualтМй=en&cc=us&docIndexId=64180&taskId=101&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=3346452
Or toss "HP Smart Array Controllers for Integrity Servers User Guide" or "rx2660 manuals" at Google or your own preferred search engine, and have at.
The following is probably the manual you want:
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00852569/c00852569.pdf
There are a couple of different RAID controllers, and there are various ways to configure them.

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
What RAID you want to configure RAID0, RAID1 or RAID5 / or both.
There is option available in BIAS setting.
This all will depends on Media Security or Space Availability.

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
Thank you for your responses.
This is for an the internal core 8 port Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) host bus adapter, not a SMART array. Is there a manual that explains this configuration?
Thanks

(1b is taken from the output above)
From here you can select the disks and create the RAID - data will be lost!
Hope this helps!

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
Hello,
I've tried everything but no way to access the RAID configuration.
SAUPDATE LIST: no raid controller found
DRVCFG -s 20 21: I get the controller configuration screen but when I press enter to configure it, EFI shell restart.
Any idea?
Thanks.

Re: rx2660 Internal RAID configuration
The RAID controller is optional. You probably do not have that board installed.
Here is the HP Quickspec for the rx2660:
