Connected what, how, to which "console"?
Are you looking at the wrong serial port?
What is the system using as a console?

Google has noticed it, too. A Web or Forum
search for it should find many things.

Re: rx2660 unable to boot
You had better to minimum system test, confirm which part caused the problem.
What I met same symptom one time is caused by the DVD-ROM, so you can plug out the DVD-ROM firstly and try to bootup again.
