rx4640 MP Reset Button

I have lost my MP password and it needs to be reset. Is the Mp Reset button on the outside of the case on the rear panel or does it require that you open the case to access it?

Does any one have photos of accessing this button?

Thanks

I have that manual already, Do i need to open the case to access the button? I was asking if anyone have actual pics of the button, not a stencil of the motherboard.

Re: rx4640 MP Reset Button

No, you don't need to open the chassis.

You can access the button from outside, it is behind the chassis on the rear left hand side.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Is there a way for someone to take a picture of said button, I am not seeing it on the back of the chassis.

Re: rx4640 MP Reset Button

Lower left side, behind the holes inside, below the power supply.

Re: rx4640 MP Reset Button

Thankyou for all of the help!

I manually pressed the MP reset button and reset the MP passwords. It worked great!

Now when I try to enter the Console: Option "CO" it is asking for an addition password when logged in as Admin. Do i need to change it to not ask for a password? The default Admin/Admin did not work and I need access to the EFI shell.

Re: rx4640 MP Reset Button

Maybe the system is up and this is the OS login prompt? I have never seen another login prompt when entering CO.

Hope this helps!
