rx4640 MP issue

I do not get a link status on my MP while connected to a Cisco 3750 Gigastack switch. I have tried both Auto and 10/half on the switch port settings. However, when I connect directly to my laptop, the MP link light comes on and I am able to navigate the web interface.

Any help is appreciated.

You asked about this in netnews yes? Might check my "is it a cross-over cable" hypothesis.

Re: rx4640 MP issue

nic - nic == link
nic - switch == no link

Most definitely, you are using a crossover cable instead of a straight-through one. In addition, your switch doesn't have autosensing capabilites and won't alter its port configuration to accomodate your choice of cable.
