Howdy,
I'm sure that I had the same thing with an rp4440. I powered it down from the MP menu PC command and then unplugged it to ensure that Management Processor was completely down. Plugged all back together & restarted and it was OK.

If you are getting the "Alert Level 7s" that are mentioned in the other thread, that means that your box is HPMCing continually.
The power cycle suggest previously may help in that it may reset the HW enough for it to go through self test and fail in a more normal way.
If the problem persists, I would contact HP Hardware.
