Re: rx4640 power will not power on
The OpenVMS forum is populated most by software folk. If it won't power up, that suggests a hardware fault, which software expertise can't help with.
Time to log a service case.

SolutionIf you do have 220v connected, Ill ask the following:
- Do you have more than one PS installed?
- Do you lose connectivity to the MP when this occurs?

Re: rx4640 power will not power on
That is exactly the problem. I now recall that when the unit was installed (by the PC group) in the old data center the 240 volt issue was raised and they "solved" it. Apparently they had a 120 volt recepticle wired to 240 volts and when I moved it to the new data center it had a 120 volt plug on it so I just plugged it in. That is why the MP would work but the main power would not. Now I have some work to do on both data centers before someone has an accident.
Thank you so much,
Warren

Re: rx4640 power will not power on
The power supply is specified to run from 208 - 240 volts and I have it connected to a 208 volt supply but it still will not power up. Any ideas? Warren
