rx6600- Windows 2003 IA64 - adding Dell external storage
I have never worked on the integrity line before. I'm trying to add a dell external storage array using a dell perc ctrl card. We have a PCI-x/PCIe I/O board. I installed the PCIe card into slot 3, but it does not show up in windows at all (even as an unknown device). In the MP system log, i see a message about suboptimal PCI performance, but since the slot is 8x and the card is 4x...that makes sense.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: rx6600- Windows 2003 IA64 - adding Dell external storage
Hi,
that card is not supported in a rx6600.
If you still want to try further, check to see if that PERC has EFI drivers available in his BIOS/FW package, if not then forget it since you need to have 'something' available at EFI to be able to i.e. load the EFI driver of that card.
When at EFI shell, run the command 'drivers' , this should also list your card and the driver number in case the card is indeed configurable from EFI.
There are different choices of HP raid cards that are supported in the RX6600, from SCSI to SAS, just have a look on hp.com i.e.
