I have an rx6600 I just installed a new I/O PCI-e backplane. The machine boots up fine and works but I keep getting this error right before it goes to the EFI.
Warning(52)A Rom Revision is inconsistent with FIT or RevBlock
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks
Jon

Re: rx6600
I have seen this today after replacing the I/O board of a rx6600 server.
This boot experienced the following problems:
WARNING[52]: A ROM revision is inconsistent with FIT or REVBLOCK
together with a massage
3 0 0x00025A 0x000000000000000C component rom revision != rev block revision
The firmware components on the new board were newer than the firmware on the remaining parts - in fact BMC firmware was the problem.
The system reached the boot menu, but any attempt to proceed (going to EFI for example) results in a crash.
Solution was to install the old board again, update the firmware and install the new board again.
Hope this helps someone in future.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
