It looks like 512GB is the maximum memory capacity on the rx8640 according to the HP website where I'm looking at Integrity Midrange Section.
I'm assuming this means 512GB with all 4 cells popoulated with all dimm slots filled with the maximum sized dimms? If so am I safe to believe that the max memory per each cell is 128GB?
Any help on this with clarification would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
/KPS

SolutionThe rx8640 can have up to 4 cells, each cell will have a max of 16 DDR2 DIMM slots. Memory is installed in pairs, the largest DIMM is 8GB... 128GB per cell max. Fill up all 4 cells with the max memory config and you're limited to 512GB.
Look over the quick specs for more detail

Re: rx8640 memory question
For RX8640 have SEU ( Server Expension Unit ) with max total cellboard is 8.
1 cellboard have 16 slot memory, and the max size memory for one slot is 4 GB
8*16*4=512 GB.

Re: rx8640 memory question
Sorry i am wrong about SEU, Total max cellboard is 4. SEU contain I/O only.
max memory for one slot is 8 GB. I think Denver right about that.
Sorry for my fault.
