server rx2660 pb boot

Hello,

We have a server rx2660, with operating system HP-UX 11.31, the problem when I restart the system, the boot disks mirrored will not appear on the EFI.
Must be obliged to pass by the Shell menu and type this commands to start the system:
Shell>> map-b
Shell>> fs0:
fs0> hpux

best regards

Re: server rx2660 pb boot

Where you cannot see the boot disks? In EFI boot menu? Does it boot if you run the boot loader manually? I'm not sure about the problem yet ...

If hp-ux is running now, check the boot settings with

# setboot

You can set EFI boot entries from there.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: server rx2660 pb boot

Did you install onto these mirrored discs via regular HP media install/Ignite or did you do something like a "dd" to clone something else?

Only the regular install/ignite paths will add an option to the EFI boot option menu. And even then, when they do add it, it is possible for someone to delete it later...

Does it boot up when you start it manually?

What does "setboot" say?

Hope this helps!
