setup rx2620 to boot from brocade san for RHAS 4.0 and Suse sles 9.

Hi

How do i setup an rx2620 host to install and boot over brocade san using a6826a, knowing that all the san related stuff zoning and access to storage is correct. I just need to know how to setup 6826a to select san lun and install and boot from it.

its installs ok with redahat AS4.0 but when it tries too boot it cannot find the new hsv210 root disk. when you run

shell:>connect

map -r

it doesnot show the hsv210 disk as /HD, just blk stuff

if shell:> means EFI, do you see SAN disk with dh command?
EFI>dh -b
If you see SAN disk, look at handle of device then create manually map
EFI>map fs
Example:
EFI>dh -b
...
9C brocade san
...
EFI>map fs4 9C

I did'nt read your lats post carefully.

You cam simply mount filesystem
EFI>map -d fs0
EFI>mount blk fs0
