upgrade system firmware without MP card

I have a rx1600 without MP card. But when I want to upgrade the system firmware, the "MP revision" shows unknown and it always prompt something like "MP firmware revision is less than xxx" and cannot continue. Is that possible upgrade system firmware and BMC firmware without a MP card?

Re: upgrade system firmware without MP card

Use the touch command to create the file '/tmp/force_patch_install'.

Re: upgrade system firmware without MP card

I'm not sure if this will help but here is a link to the rx1600 firmware page. It mentions BMC:

Re: upgrade system firmware without MP card

In fact, I have tried all System+MP patches, included the earlier version. only the 1.10 (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?swItem=ux-21636-1〈=en&cc=us&mode=5&) can install the system patch individually. All later patches required install MP firmware at the same time and thus fail to update. About the force patching, can you tell me the steps or any link of documents please?

Re: upgrade system firmware without MP card

There is no document.

# touch /tmp/force_patch_install
# ll /tmp/force_patch_install
-rw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 0 Jun 10 03:57 /tmp/force_patch_instl

Then swinstall the patch again.
