I am getting this message when I try to use IE: "IEXPLORE caused a general protection fault in module MACXW4.DRV at 000b:000000cd"
What is this error - how can I fix it?

Re: Internet Explorer
In general terms, the error message means that IE is accessing memory at an address that is "out of bounds" - not belonging to IE.

Re: Internet Explorer
Heather,
Try to reduce your hardware acceleration, this could fix the problem.
Let me know.

Re: Internet Explorer
Hi Heather,
Are you running Windows ME? If so, then this is a known problem. The cause is outdated drivers for your video card. You should update your drivers to the correct version for the OS you are running. As noted above, a temporary workaround is to reduce your video graphics acceleration.
Details of this can be found by searching the Microsoft Knowledgebase for Q242512.
Regards,
Skip
