Bespoke yet scalable Analytic solutions for the Industrial Edge
Quentin Jones
IOT Practice Director, Accenture
Pushing analytics out to the edge(s) of IoT brings a new set of challenges: equipping the edge to perform autonomously in the absence of solid state network connectivity or when compute resources are scarce. What is the way forward? Deploying a flexible, knowledge-driven framework that captures the appropriate business logic needed to push analytics to the edge where data is high-fidelity and decisions are more reliable and truly in real time.
Platform solutions built on a cloud-centric paradigm require reliable, low-latency, high-bandwidth network connectivityโa requirement thatโs clearly unsuitable for implementations where industrial assets are in remote geographic regions with limited, unreliable and expensive network connectivity, or when data volumes are immense.
Together, HPE and Accenture, are working to facilitate the transition to the internet of thinking discussions while leveraging the full ROI promises of the 4th industrial revolution. We understand that current legacy systems are failing to support the digital transformation and industrial companies must harness the power of data to drive more value out of the Production process. A critical aspect of this digital disruption is establishing an Edge Computing environment that captures real-time data from all connected things on your oil rigs, along your production lines, in your distribution centers, and in your retail stores. The analytics made available through this real-time data provide timely and comprehensive insights for your company across the entire supply chain, giving your company a dynamic competitive edge.
The HPE | Accenture Alliance leverages our deep domain experience within industrial environments, which enables us to design solutions that solve complex business challenges immediately to prepare for the next steps in the IIOT revolution. The Specialized teams at HPE and Accenture offer โbespoke but scalableโ experiences that we use to articulate each unique Intelligent Edge solution, while recognizing the convergence of IT and OT, speaking the common language of both teams, while bridging the gap between them. Understanding the evolution of our product and service lines enables us to recommend fit-for-purpose offerings that match your business needs.
HPE and Accenture architect a fully Intelligent converged Edge solution that remove the limits imposed by legacy systems. For example, rather than wrestle with multiple tool sets combined with latency that slows data delivery and response time when you can deploy an Intelligent Edge solution morphed in a hybrid model with the ability to capture high-frequency data and deliver it where and where you need it.
Meet with Accenture Industrial IoT Director at the HPE Connect IoT Theatre @ Discover Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 20 from 4:00 โ 4:30 pm (IF5163). We will be presenting how we are working with HPE on the internet of thinking and creating an Intelligent Enterprise. We are building a best-of-class Video Analytics solution utilizing HPE Edgeline Converged Systems that are enhanced with the power of Nvidia GPUโs, Accenture Applied Intelligence container-based algorithms, and HPE Pointnext EaaS (Edge-as-a-service) OPEX models. Accenture will also highlight how they are building scalable analytic solutions for clients in the industrial spaces by highlighting an internet of thinking mindset with lightning speed.
