3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
I've had a 3Com OfficeConnect 54Mbps for about 1.5 years now. Up until now i had FW 1.25 installed.
I tried upgrading in hope to improve transfer rates, streaming problems, etc, and these seem to have improved.
However, i have a much bigger problem now which is constant disconnections when opening connections.
Meaning, whenever i start uTorrent, send files over IM or try to communicate through skype with video, after a few seconds i get disconnected from my ISP.
This is completely consistent. After about 5-10 seconds of transferring a file over skype, i can see on the router page that i am disconnected.
This is how my log looks like when this happens:

Has anyone any idea how to fix this?
I have cable internet, and my computer is connected physically to the router (not a wireless problem).
I can also add that when i upgraded the firmware i returned to factory defaults and put in all the information manually as it was before.
Thanks.

Re: 3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
i can't even send attachments on emails since the connection is lost every few minutes.
i have the security log says: HTB: quantum of class 10001 is big. Consider r2q change
i've tried to set the MTU to diffrenet levels, 1500, 1440 and even 700. none of them change a bit.
PLEASE ASSIST!

Re: 3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
I also can't send email attachments.
This is such a horrible upgrade i'm actually considering getting a new router, since 3COM aren't helping and there's noone to talk to.
Aren't there any 3com representatives here?

Re: 3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
seems fine by now, i managed to send attachment by email.. (3.5Mb file that cause disconnect earlier)
though this version has its bugs, i can live with that.
e.g the MTU at the Internet settings page is always dispalyed as 576, no matter what you put in.
but the thing is, it does changes the setting, just won't display it. so you can check if it has changed at: http://www.speedguide.net/analyzer.php and see if the MTU you've set is the same as shown there.
don't forget to save and apply to changes to take effect. (this also means all change you'll do require to re-enter mtu value)
but hey, whats this comparing to constant disconnets?? :-)

Re: 3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
or was it enough simply to update the firmware and all the settings were preserved?
thanks.

Re: 3crwer100-75 Disconnections after FW update
I was having big trouble to use FTP software to upload files to one of my FTP sites. I tried with several computers and several programs, but I was always losing connections.
Well guess what, it is fixed by rolling back to version 1.3.0!!!
SO their is definitely a BUG in version 1.3.06
Hope they'll fix it some day. ;)
