ACL in HP Procurve 2824

Hi,

I have HP Procurve 2824 switch which i am using it as a core switch by creating multiple vlans. My requirement is to create a ACL for restricting access from one vlan to other but unfortunately i don't see the "ip access-list" command. Any help or a work around in this regard is much apppreciated.

The version i have is "I.08.58" and "i.10.101"

Re: ACL in HP Procurve 2824

Hi,

Just checking if we have the ACL option in HP 2824? I saw my 2610 has wondering why  2824 which is a higer version of this series does not have. :-(

Re: ACL in HP Procurve 2824

Hi,

For procurve/e-series, the 26xx/29xx/28xx series have support for L3 lite (routing : yes, doing some usefull routing : no).

The main goal of the L3 lite on these switches is to support L3 features like dscp (IP qos), dhcp snooping, arp protection etc, but not really to be the core router of the network.

You need the 35xx/38xx/54xx series for some normal routing functions (like decent acls, some vrrp, ospf etc).

Best regards,Peter
