Can the 8212zl & 5412zl switches offer NAT between one VLAN and others

We are about to connect a Cisco ASR1000s (OC3 #1) to our 8212zl core switch, and another Cisco ASR1000 (OC3 #2) to our 5412zl core switch.  Both switches are connected via (4) bonded 10gbps Fiber lines.  They act within the same primary subnet. But, they also have several VLANs setup on them.  There currently are no Network Address Translations on them.    We would like the OC3 pipes to terminate onto the switches with their public IP addresses setup as VLAN IDs. We would, ideally, then like to configure the public subnet range that comes with those OC3's to be routed internally through NAT rules to the private subnets already contained within the switches.   Is this possible?   If so, where can I find the proper syntax documentation, as I can't seem to find anything on NAT?

Thank You.

Hi,

no luck for you, no NAT support on the provision switches (they only wanted to enable forwarding in hardware). You would need a comware router for that purpose (MSR50 or 6600 type of router, depending on expected performance ...

The only comware switch which supports NAT would be the 12500, but that may be a bit overkill just for the NAT :)

Best regards,Peter.
