HP 1920S (JL382A) Multiple Switches

Morning All,

Was wondering if somebody could either just verify something for me or maybe just correct my thinking, i have just purchased 3 HP 1920S Officeconnect switches, now i totally understand that these are not stackable switches, but im just looking at the static routes and im trying to route a subnet that is on switch B over to switch A which is connected to my firewall, whenever i try to do this im being told it cant be done because its on the same subnet, now am i missing something or are these switches not able to be linked or see each other?

Ideally i want:-
Subnet - 192.168.10.0/24 on switch A with a VLAN connection to my firewall (VLANs all configured as standard)
Subnet - 192.168.12.0/24 on switch B with a uplink to switch A directing external traffic to the firewall (VLANs config)
Subnet - 192.168.14.0/24 on switch C again with uplink to switch A directing external traffic (VLANs config)

Im replacing three HP V1910 switches where this configuration is working perfectly, im not sure if im missing something or if this feature isnt available on the 1920s switches.

Thanks in advance for your help

Hello baileyphil1,

I do not understand what exactly you are trying to achieve.

                                       Firewall

                                            |

                                      192.168.10.0/24

                                           |

                                       Switch A   Router 192.168.10.0/24, 192.168.12.0/24, 192.168.14.0/24

                                 /                     \

                   192.168.12.0/24         192.168.14.0/24

                       /                                      \

            Switch B                                      Switch C

What is the exact error message you see?

Hi,

I am not able to understand how you want to design/implement all three switches along with Firewall.

Are these switches are being used as L2 or L3?

Who is doing routing in this setup?

Please provide a  detailed network diagram with confirguation and error log details  for furhter troubleshoot?

Best Regards,
