HPE OfficeConnect 1920S POE configuration
It has been suggested (internally) that to avoid the need to change the switch configuration down the line, a PoE switch should be configured so that all ports deliver PoE, and let the end device take it if needed.
Is this advisable and/or good practice?

My totally personal standpoint: I like to have control over what PD is draining current from my Switch(es)...so, generally, I like to know what ports are interested in providing PoE supply to those PDs...and disable all the others that aren't...that's because PoE, in my opinion, shouldn't be seen as the various power inlets we have at home (always enabled). My two cents.
I'm not an HPE Employee

Thank you
That was kinda my view, but I'm alone in that here.
