J9625A Unsupported Transceiver
Hi,
Good day!
Is is possible to enable unsupported transceivers on HP 2620-24 J9625A Switch? I've been running the allow-unsupported-transceiver and it says that command is invalid.
Thanks,
Ivan

Re: J9625A Unsupported Transceiver
Hi @Onitsuka !
AFAIK, the "allow unsupported-transceiver" command is an undocumented feature. It is only available on the 3810M, 5400R,
2920, 2930F, 2930M, 2540, and 2530. This feature is not available on any other ArubaOS-Switch switches. This undocumented feature was included in releases numbered 16.02.0013 and later. More info here - https://community.arubanetworks.com/aruba/attachments/aruba/CampusSwitching/3089/1/ARUBAOS-SWITCH%20UNSUPPORTED%20TRANSCEIVER%20GUIDE%20V2.pdf
Just FYI - undocumented features are not shown in the CLI with "?" as an option, nor is the command tab-completed. So don't expect to see it by pressing '?' key... You can try the "allow unsupported-transceiver", of course, but I highly doubt it will work on your switch.

Re: J9625A Unsupported Transceiver
I also have the same problem. 2620-24 (J9623A) switch. RA.16.02.0028. I purchased HPE Compatible transceivers. J4860c-c. 1000BASE-ZX 1550Nm. Shows as unsupported. Is there a solution? Is this a currently supported switch?
So what is the solution for a unsupported transceiver that is HPE compatible?
