L2 QoS and Skype

Hi,

we are implementing Skype for Business (SfB) and I would like to apply QoS on our switches.

Our PC users (with SfB client) are on the same vlan/subnet as the SfB Front end server.

The switches we user are 2910al, 2610, 2530,2520.. The switches are cable of performing QoS.

I've enabled Qos on all switches based on Type of Service (qos type-of-service diff-services).

DSCP (EF) 46 is standard active on these switches and that is also the codepoint that the SfB front end server/ Pc clients will use to send voice/video traffic on the network.

SfB clients and server are on the same vlan/subnet, will the DSCP based QoS will be applied on the network communication (because DSCP is a layer 3 header)? If not, what do I need to do to make it work.

Thanks in advance
