LLDP transmitting but not receiving
On my HP A5120-24G EI switch I have enabled LLPD globally and on all interfaces, but it appears to me that interfaces transmit frames but do not receive them. Below there is the output I get with the "display lldp statistics" command:
<Switch>dis ll stati LLDP statistics global information: LLDP neighbor information last change time:0 days,0 hours,0 minutes,0 seconds The number of LLDP neighbor information inserted : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information deleted : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information dropped : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 LLDP statistics information of port 1 [GigabitEthernet1/0/1]: The number of LLDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of LLDP frames received : 0 The number of LLDP frames discarded : 0 The number of LLDP error frames : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs discarded : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs unrecognized : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 The number of CDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of CDP frames received : 0 The number of CDP frames discarded : 0 The number of CDP error frames : 0 LLDP statistics information of port 2 [GigabitEthernet1/0/2]: The number of LLDP frames transmitted : 5177 The number of LLDP frames received : 0 The number of LLDP frames discarded : 0 The number of LLDP error frames : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs discarded : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs unrecognized : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 The number of CDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of CDP frames received : 0 The number of CDP frames discarded : 0 The number of CDP error frames : 0 LLDP statistics information of port 3 [GigabitEthernet1/0/3]: The number of LLDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of LLDP frames received : 0 The number of LLDP frames discarded : 0 The number of LLDP error frames : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs discarded : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs unrecognized : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 The number of CDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of CDP frames received : 0 The number of CDP frames discarded : 0 The number of CDP error frames : 0 LLDP statistics information of port 4 [GigabitEthernet1/0/4]: The number of LLDP frames transmitted : 5174 The number of LLDP frames received : 0 The number of LLDP frames discarded : 0 The number of LLDP error frames : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs discarded : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs unrecognized : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 The number of CDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of CDP frames received : 0 The number of CDP frames discarded : 0 The number of CDP error frames : 0 LLDP statistics information of port 5 [GigabitEthernet1/0/5]: The number of LLDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of LLDP frames received : 0 The number of LLDP frames discarded : 0 The number of LLDP error frames : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs discarded : 0 The number of LLDP TLVs unrecognized : 0 The number of LLDP neighbor information aged out : 0 The number of CDP frames transmitted : 0 The number of CDP frames received : 0 ---- More ----
Should not interfaces also receive lldp frames?
