Metric - Help adding metric to ip route command

I am working on a Procurve 5406zl.

 

I am adding static routes but having trouble when setting a metric.

 

This command works:

 

ip route 192.168.0.0./24 192.168.75.1

 

But if I try and add a metric it fails.  What is the probber command to include a metric value?

 

ip route 192.168.0.0/24 192.168.75.1 metric 2 = FAIL

 

Hope some one can help.

ip route 192.168.0.0/24 192.168.75.1 pref 2

 

I'm not sure, but try it.
