Packet Loss through 3500 gateway switch
Hello all,
Confusing issue. I've recently installed a new Procurve 3500 as a Layer 3 switch. Current firmware. Whenever I do any icmp testing, ping, traceroute etc. I get a high packet loss at the switch itself but not any of the devices behind it. It's the only hop between my pc and the server behind it.
Does anybody have any kind of explanation as to why this would happen?
I've add a screenshot of the traceroute and a copy of the switch config as attachments.
Thanks

Re: Packet Loss through 3500 gateway switch
Check the CPU%.
It's normal for it to drop pings - ICMP is pretty much bottom of its priority list.
