VLAN Routing
Hi
I am fairly new to routing and VLANs and would really apreciate anyones advice.
I have a Hp E5406zl core switch and have 8 VLANs. I need some help understanding how to route between the VLANS. Below is the config showing all the VLANs. We currently only use the legacy VLAN for all our servers and worksations but would like to start utilising the VLANs we had configured for us some time ago.
ip default-gateway 10.165.6.19
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 10.165.0.1
ip routing
vlan 1
name "LEGACY"
untagged A1-A16,B1-B16
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 10.165.0.2 255.255.248.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 2
name "DATA2"
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 172.16.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 3
name "DATA3"
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 172.17.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 4
name "WLAND"
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 172.18.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 5
name "WLANG"
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 172.19.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 6
name "ACCESS"
tagged A1-A8,A17-A24,B1-B8,B17-B24
ip address 172.20.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 7
name "VOICE"
tagged A17-A24,B17-B24
ip address 172.21.0.1 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
vlan 8
name "MGMT"
untagged A17-A24,B17-B24
tagged A1-A8,B1-B8
ip address 172.22.0.2 255.255.0.0
ip igmp
exit
Thanks in advance and if you require more information please ask.
