Vlan isolation
Hi All,
I am relatively new to networking and getting familiar with Comware. I have what I presume is a basic question. I have a separate broadband line, which I want to network across the existing infrastructure but keep it completely isolated from the rest of the network. I have so far put the link on its own vlan with absolutely no routing or configuration on the core switch. This should in theory isolate the traffic from the rest of the network as it should only stay in its own broadcast domain. I have tested this with ping and as expected, I cannot see any of the other vlans on the existing network.
Can I ask is this setup sufficient or do I need to sure things up any further?
Kind regards
Gary
