11.11 and 11.31 Filesystem Compatibility

We have a HPUX server running 11.11. It is connected to a HP EVA4400 Disk array. We will be buying a HPUX Itanium server running 11.31. My question is on moving the data from the 11.11 server to the 11.31 server. Can the disks that are currently presented to the 11.11 server also be presented to the 11.31 server? Will this method then work as a means of copying the files from the 11.11 to 11.31 server? Are there any filesystem compatibility issues with this?

Hi:

As long as your VxFS filesystem layout version is supported in both environments, you will not have any problem mounting the filesystems.

Thanks for the link to the matrix. For the filesystem we wish to copy, our JFS (VxFS) is version 4 on our 11.11 server. Just to clarify then, will we be able to mount these filesystems on the 11.31 server?
