8 luns only on A5158A connected to MA8000

8 luns only on A5158A connected to MA8000

on a RP5450 with one A5158A HBA connected to a MA8000 , configured with 10 luns , I can only see atotal of 8 luns on HPUX 11.00

Hi Dennis,

No you shouldn't be limited to 8 LUNs.
On our XPs & EMCs we see the LUNS > 8 as being incremented to the next target as follows:
c2t1d0 LUN 1
.
.
c2t1d7 LUN8
c2t2d0 LUN9
c2t2d1 LUN10
.
.
etc

Not too sure how to do it on a MA8000, but with EMC, run ioscan, syminq, insf -e

Some non-HP arrays(Xiotech for example) still have an 8 lun limit. You absolutely should not have this limit on any modern HP disk array.
