AUTOPATH : device busy on a removed device
Good day,
I got this strange message from Autopath about a disk that is not on the system.
We have unassigned several devices (110) from our XP tower and removed the special files.
Which is, when removed from the XP Tower we did
ioscan -fnC disk | grep NO_HW to trap all OPEN-E devices that where removed
removed the Luns from autopath
autopath delete -l WWW
autopath add -l WWW
autopath discover
went fine expect for one LUN
xpinfo -li on it shows that it is not there
vgdisplay -v | grep device ... not in any vg either
how can I get rid of it ?
Regards,

Re: AUTOPATH : device busy on a removed device
Shalom,
I don't understand why you are surprised. The hardware was there with open processes, maybe a few filesystems, now suddenly its not.
There are open processes in the folders or filesystems. A reboot will clear it, assuming there are not auto mounts or /etc/fstab entries referring to the path.

Re: AUTOPATH : device busy on a removed device
Hi Jean,
I'm afraid that reboot is the only solution.

Sathish
