Adding Extra HDD on B2000 workstation
I would like to add one 9GB HDD to my B2000 machine.
Please let me know the best way to do this without
re-installing.
Present disk space status is following.
bash-2.02# bdf -l
Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on
/dev/vg00/lvol3 8269824 7743956 500353 94% /
/dev/vg00/lvol1 83733 41549 33810 55% /stand
-------------------------
2489 etc
930768 export
32924 home
2196702 lhome
539034 opt
18300 sbin
41549 stand
2624 tmp

Is the 9GB disk already installed on the server? Can you see it with "ioscan -funC disk"
Do you want to add it in vg00 or any other volume group.
Here is what you need to do.
pvcreate the disk.
add the disk in existing vg with vgextend or create new vg with vgcreate.
Create logical volume with lvcreate and create file system on the lv.
Hope this helps.
