Solution
Hi,
If the disk is not bootable, you should get LIF failures.
Check how the alternate path is defined using the command "setboot" and make sure it is in fact pointing to c1t8d0 (lssf /dev/dsk/c1t8d0).
You can set the correct path by using the 'setboot -a' command.

You may be disappointed if you fail, but you are doomed if you don't try

Re: Alternate Boot Path fails
SETBOOT was the right way ! Many thanks. The alternate Boot Path was wrong. I changed it and now everything is all right.
Primary Boot Path = 8/12.5.0 ( c1t5d0
Alternate Boot Path = 8/4.15.0 ( c0t15d0)
Excellent !

Re: Alternate Boot Path fails
He Hans,
Ur primary boot path is : c1t5d0
Its Mirror as u say is : c1t5d0
Then the current alt boot path: c1t8d0 is wrong.
From ISL you can issue PA command to change the path. Also you can boot manually from that disk and check before setting it.
Thanks
