Re: BOOT VOLUME - /dev/vg00/lvol1 - CORRUPT

It would be easier if you know the boot disk path for recovery process,if you have an earlier o/p..

If your boot volume is corrupted, you cant bring the system to ISL.

Boot the system from Recovery disk and rebuild the bootlif.

Physical Volumes belonging in Root Volume Group:
/dev/dsk/c2t0d0 (0/1/1/0.0.0) -- Boot Disk
/dev/dsk/c3t2d0 (0/1/1/1.2.0)
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0 (0/1/1/0.1.0) -- Boot Disk
Boot: lvol1 on: /dev/dsk/c2t0d0
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0

Alone root disk should be restored with recovery media, and mirrored disk can be booted with the alternate path.

Ypu can also invole an fsck on the volume..

If the filesystem is corrupted, it will be the same on all the mirrors too, because it's a mirror ...

If you cannot boot to repair, your option is to restore from ignite.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Hi ,

I am sorry to ask such stupid question in my last post. I made a mistake.

If it is not booting , try to do the following

1. single user mod
2. lvmmaintenance mod
3. boot from recovery disk and try to do maitenance
4. ignite restore
