i have a new one but don't know which i should replace?
i have two auto raid storage, each has three 18.2GB
ordered A1, A2 & B1

couldn't query physical volume
couldn't query all of the physical volumes
couldn't retrive the names of the names of physical volumes belonging to volume group /dev/vg02

PLease post the result of:
# vgchange -a y -q n vg02
If above works, post:
# vgdisplay -v vg02
Else:
#strings /etc/lvmtab
to see which disks were present in vg02. NOw see if they are "claimed" in "ioscan -fnC disk".
If yes..run:
#vgscan -pav
(This is only preview mode. No changes will be made to system.) And see which disks comes up under vg00.
If it is different from those in /etc/lvmtab, take backup of original lvmtab and run:
#vgscan -av
to recreate lvmtab (only after taking backup of lvmtab).

i want to restore it on the /usr/informix directly. (VG00)
i have
full backup (5 tapes)
informix backup (1 tape)
Ignite backup
user backup
informix CD
can you provide me with the different read commands, i tried tar tvf /dev/rmt/0m
with a check sum error. it seems backup was taken with other method.

i have reached the original point,
VG02 is not mounted.
now my only hope is to fix the VG02 volume
any hope .......??
