DLE: missing vgmodify -E on B.11.31.0709.01 LVM

is there a good way to achieve the -E attribute in vgmodify and how in an existing older 11.31 (SEP/2007)Installation (DCOE).

No.

Online DLE was introduced in the September 2008 release of 11iv3... from this document:

You need to use update_ux in order to update to a newer release.
