Fabckup frecover questions

I want to backup /usr/sybase12_5 file system from one box and restore to another box using DDS3 tape
Can you please?

On system 1
fbackup -f /dev/rmt/0m -i /usr/sybase12_5

On system 2
frecover -xf /dev/rmt/0m -i /usr/sybase12_5

If both machines have the same or compatible tape drive, you can do it with sam.

sam
Backup and recovery.

Do the interactive backup on one machine.

Do the interactive restore on a second.

Note that sam records the commands it uses and its a great way to learn how to do things on the command line.
