/dev/disk/disk3_p2
The devices I see in an ioscan are:
disk 0 0/1/1/0.1.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 73.4GST373454LC
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0 /dev/rdsk/c2t1d0
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0s1 /dev/rdsk/c2t1d0s1
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0s2 /dev/rdsk/c2t1d0s2
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0s3 /dev/rdsk/c2t1d0s3
disk 1 0/1/1/1.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 73.4GST373454LC
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s1 /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0s1
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s2 /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0s2
/dev/dsk/c3t0d0s3 /dev/rdsk/c3t0d0s3
I want to mirror to one of these but I'm not sure how the /dev/disk/disk3_p2 from the vgdisplay translates into the current primary disk found in the ioscan. V3 obviously introduces some version changes with LVM and root disk mirroring.
I've done this a number of times for v2. What am I missing here. Help is appreciated.

Re: HP-UX 11i v3 Mirror LVM boot disk
in v3 we have two type of IO Scan.
one new is legacy DSF, another persistent DSF.
persistent DSF, legacy DSF has one to many mapping.
you can get the mapping by doing ioscan -m
ioscan -m dsf /dev/disk/disk3_p2 will show it corresponding legacy DSF name.

Re: HP-UX 11i v3 Mirror LVM boot disk
In 11iv3, there are lot of chages in I/O addressing like agile view..
And also, Dynamic Multipathing is integrated in 11iv3.
Best Regards,
Ramesh
