We are going to migrate the vg for hpux 11.31 using storage copy.

Am I right that we just have to export the vg to a map file and import back the vg again.

Sorry, that was slightly facetious, but my point is "migrate the vg for hpux 11.31 using storage copy" is by no means a reasonable description of what you are intending to do, just as "turn the steering wheel and press the pedals" is by no means a reasonable description of how to drive a car.

Please provide more details on what you want to do...
