How to replace a unavilable root mirrored disk with out LVM OLR

Hi

How to replace a root disk which is mirrored and showing a status "unavailable". Server does not have LVM OLR. (HPUX B.11.11 U 9000/800)

PV Name /dev/dsk/c1t15d0
PV Status unavailable
Total PE 4340
Free PE 859
Autoswitch On


Two disk are there in this VG00

Hi:

Without OLR you must deactivate the volume group or remove the logical volumes within to remove the physical disk from the volume group. For more information, see:

You have to deactivate the VG
lvreduce -m 0
vgreduce
after replacing the disk
vgextend
lvextend -m 1
