How to view which is the boot disk in the mirrored pair on 11.23 for Itanium ?

I've created a mirrored boot disk on 11.23 for Itanium. Everything is OK. But I'm looking for a way which can list the current the boot disk in the mirrored pair. The way I used on PA-RISC machine can not work on Itanium

# Do a setboot then you get the HW path of both disk mirrored disks.

If you boot the system you get a little cryptic HW of the disks. You want know which disks are the disks you are able to boot from it must have installed a EFI partition.

You can see which disk has a EFI partition with

# ioscan -e -fnCdisk
This command has also the advantage that it will show you the cryptic path that is showed you during boot process.

Hope it helps

Doesn't lvlnboot -v work on Itanium?
"Intel inside" is not a label, it's a warning.

Hi,

Command :-
grep "Boot device" /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log

The output should be similar to :-

vmunix: Boot device's HP-UX HW path is: 0.1.1.1.2.0

And verify your paths with
#setboot

Artyom,

Itanium do not have a LIF Volume and has a EFI partion instead. That is why procedure for creating mirrors and verifications is slightly different.

Hope This Clarifies,

Thank you for all. Now I got the solution. It is logged in the "syslog.log".
