Ignite UX and SAS disks machines
Hi all,
We're experiencing strange behaviours with Ignite (C7.4.157)with blades and RX6600.
I'll try the 7.5 later.
The problem is that, after passing the first stage install (boot network, golden image is put on the first SAS disk 0/4/1/0.0.0.0.0), when rebooting, though EFI loads HPUX from the right device (cf above), we get a message from the vmunix kernel saying that the HW Boot Device is 0/4/1/0.0.0.7.0 which makes the system panic because it can't find any LVM on this device (which doesn't even exist).
On some machines it reboots and everything fixes itself then teh machine goes on the installation (we have a lot of postinstall stuff) but on some other it loops in this behaviour.
Any idea ?

Re: Ignite UX and SAS disks machines
It is definitely over with IgniteUX 7.5.
The message is what I gave in my previous post:
Boot device's HP-UX HW path is: 0/4/1/0.0.0.7.0 --> Why this ?
I can't paste the kernel panic output, I'm not at the office, but it complains about the device 0/4/1/0.0.0.7.0 not being a LVM device (it doesn't even exist).
I think it is an issue with the 7.4.x version of Ignite and SAS drives machines (BL860, RX6600 etc..)
