LVM issues: vgreduce: Invalid LVMREC
Hi All
I am having trouble with LVM in a 11.23 server. The problem is that storage admin (netapp) try to grow a netapp lun without notifying me, so I could not have time to umount, and lvremove, vgremove that VG containing that disk, now I cannot vgreduce the disk, I got the following error:
vgremove /dev/vg03
vgremove: Volume group "/dev/vg03" still contains a logical volume(s).
lvremove /dev/vg03/lvol1
The logical volume "/dev/vg03/lvol1" is not empty;
do you really want to delete the logical volume (y/n) : y
lvremove: Couldn't delete logical volume "/dev/vg03/lvol1":
No such device or address
vgcfgbackup: Invalid LVMREC on Physical Volume /dev/rdsk/c42t0d4
vgreduce -f /dev/vg03
vgreduce: Invalid LVMREC on Physical Volume /dev/rdsk/c42t0d4
Floating exception(coredump)
The /etc/lvmtab still shows me that vg entry, should run vgscan?
Can you help?
