LVM on RISC vs Itanium

This could be a dumb question, but I am making these assumptions:

1. Itanium (11.23) can still use 'vxfs' FS type.
2. I can "box swap" old L3000 RISC using vxfs with newer RX* Itanium server and import the VG with no problems. More important, I can fall back to RISC box is Itanium cut-over has issues....

Re: LVM on RISC vs Itanium

Shalom Dan,

1.) Yes, as a matter of fact, it can use vxfs on /stand which is not possible on earlier releases of HP-UX.
2) You can vgexport/vgimport between an L3000 and an RX itanium server, no problem.
