LVMcollect and checkconfig

Can I politely ask what version of LVMcollect and/or checkconfig are most people using here?

I think my copy needs is a few minor adjustments and updating.

Where can I get an up to date version?

Thanks in advance.

Re: LVMcollect and checkconfig

Last time when I saw lvmcollect was around year 2000, I even cannot remember what the output was.

Maybe the LVM commands can give you the information you want, try also SMH.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: LVMcollect and checkconfig

You are absolutely correct, the year 2000, was the main driving force and philosophy behind the design LVMcollect, certainly from my own point of view and motivation.

The output ways very simple, it had to guaranteed no system crashes or failures.

LVMcollect - "Release Management, Methods, Instruments and Critical Success Factors." for System Administrators?

Is there any equivalent one today?

If I have never seen the original computer design, how can I quickly build a picture my own to check and test?

What applications to do use?
