MirrorDisk/UX removed during upgrade
I recently upgraded my server to the Sept 2004 release of 11iv2 and I had a disk die on me and when I replaced it and went to resync the mirror, I realized that MirrorDisk/UX had been removed from my system during the upgrade. Anyone know why this happened?
I have TCOE installed and had installed MirrorDisk/UX as a standalone product. I have reinstalled it and the LVM patch and all seems to be well now. I was just wondering if this was normal and why on earth the upgrade would need to remove this product.

Re: MirrorDisk/UX removed during upgrade
Usually it happens because someone ran swremove on mirror/ux.
If there are multiple admins, you might want to see if anyone removed it, thinking it was not needed.
This could be caused by the sd/ux database getting corrupt. swverify \* and see if there is trouble there.
The /var filesystem could get full and cause problems with the sd/ux database as well.
I'd like you to try and re-install mirror/ux and see if an error results. That would be interesting and might help with tracking down the cause.

Re: MirrorDisk/UX removed during upgrade
I am the only admin on this machine. It happened right at the beginning of my session to upgrade to the sept 2004 version. I didn't issue any swremove commands prior to starting the upgrade.
I did re-install MirrorDisk/UX and I didn't get any errors and everything was fine with the mirror sync.
