Re: Mounting

Hello Rakesh,
i believe you should not able to mount pen drive in hpux,

HPUX will only recognize usb keyboard and mouse.

if really require to get usb data in hpux you may configure samba which can share out with windows to get data from usb drive,

Re: Mounting

Some of the newest OS releases, 11.23, 11.31 do recognize the device as a disk but there is not much you can do with it. The problem is that these pen drives usually have a windows or NTFS filesyatem on them and HP-UX can not use it.

Really?

There exists a program called "mtools" which
can be used to work with a FAT file system
(originally on floppy disks, but it's more
capable now). (I use it on VMS. I haven't
tried it on HP-UX.)

So, if HP-UX really could see a FAT-formatted
USB flash EEPROM device as a disk, then there
might be some hope of dealing with files on
it.
