Worked great. Understand dec > hex, but how is it determined?

Do a man 7 autochanger and all will be (somewhat) clear. By the way, often the schgr driver is not used and instead the SCSI pass-thru driver (eg sctl) is used to directly communicate with the robotic device.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.
