Online JFS licensing issue

I am trying to extend a filesystem using fsadm but I get the following error.

# /usr/sbin/fsadm -b 1089536 /topr
fsadm: /etc/default/fs is used for determining the file system type
fsadm: You don't have a license to run this program

Can anyone help me on how to fix this.

Re: Online JFS licensing issue

Hi:

You must license OnlineJFS or license an Operating Environment that provides it.

Re: Online JFS licensing issue

Hi,

You require a license for this, you may check in software.hp.com for more details about license.

Re: Online JFS licensing issue

You have to purchase the Online JFS product from a reseller.

Re: Online JFS licensing issue

Hi,

Have you installed "Online JFS" product on your server? Just check with this command.

#swlist |grep -i online

If the product is not installed, you have to unmount the filesystem and extend it using extendfs command.

It is a licensed product you should have installed to extend the filesystem online.

You can also the check the license details by using this command,

# vxlicense -p (or) # vxlicrep
Best wishes,

Ganesh.

Re: Online JFS licensing issue

The product is installed as swlist shows but its license has expired.

# swlist | grep -i onlinejfs

How can I re-enable this functionality?
