Jim is right - what is output vgdisplay -v /dev/vgXX?

What is "PE Size (Mbytes)" set to?

Normal shutdown:

The VG came up with the source and destination PV at the state prior to the reboot. The filesystem on top of the LVOL remained consistent - which should be. I simply lvreduce the affected LVOL and resume the pvmove.

Forced TOC'/reset (Ungraceful shutdown)

Same thing with the VG/LV as in the normal shutdown case.. The Filesystem normally recovered as with any ungraceful reboots..

So PVMOVE is a safe way to evac LVOLS from a PV...
