We installing serveral hp-ux systems onto service guard using EMC disk array.
The problem we are having is when we switch over using services guard oracle apps sometimes errors.
Does anyone have experience with service guard and oracle apps?

For ORacle to work properly under MC/SG, there are a number of considerations to take into account, first and foremost is that the Oracle instance must be "packaged" properly and use the virtual IP address that has been assigned. Oracle cannot use the machine IP that it was installed on (as is the default behavior).

As well, the package start/stop script must be properly setup so that ORacle stops and starts correctly when invoked. If not, you can create problems with the DB when moving it to another machine.

Also, Oracle has a White Paper available that
covers using Oracle in a MC/SG environment, the hard part is getting it.
