USB hard disk drives in HP-UX for dummies

In a nutshell, how would one set-up a USB disk drive in HP-UX? How to format the drive and how to set the LVM correctly up? I'm using the HP-UX version B11.00.

I'm quessing just plugging in an ext2 formatted drive will not work?

mediainit is the command in HP-UX to format the drive.

Hi Peetu,

On HPUX 11.0 USB drives are not supported. Only on the latest OS (11.31), there is limited support for USB drives.
